1. 미 연준, 은행권 혼란에도 불구하고 금리 인상 강행
The Federal Reserve raised its benchmark interest rate by another quarter of a percentage point and signalled that more rate increases could come in its fight against inflation, despite higher rates triggering a series of bank failures.

2. 재닛 옐런 "은행 안정 우선…필요시 추가 조치"
America’s treasury secretary, Janet Yellen, ruled out an expansion of bank-deposit insurance or blanket guarantees for savers after four bank failures in 11 days.

3. UBS, 크레디트스위스 32억달러에 인수
UBS, Switzerland’s biggest bank, acquired Credit Suisse, its troubled rival, in an all-share emergency deal brokered by Swiss authorities for around SFr3bn ($3.2bn), a 60% discount on Credit Suisse’s stockmarket valuation.

4. 美퍼스트리퍼블릭은행, 라자드·맥킨지 고용…매각 등 모색
First Republic Bank, a lender based in California, has hired Lazard and JPMorgan Chase, two investment banks, as advisers amid discussions with potential investors and government officials to shore up its balance-sheet.

5. 영국 2월 물가상승률 10.4%로 반등···시장 예상치 9.9% 상회
Inflation in Britain rose unexpectedly in February. Annual consumer-price inflation rose to 10.4% in February, up from 10.1% in January.

6. 캐나다 2월 소비자 물가 전년 대비 5.2% 상승…둔화세 커져
Inflation in Canada eased to 5.2% in February, down from 5.9% in January. 

7. SEC, 코인베이스에 소송 시동…'증권법 위반' 사전 경고
Coinbase, a crypto exchange, received a notice from the Securities and Exchange Commission, America’s main financial regulator, warning it of potential violations of securities law.

8. '치솟는 원자재값'으로 글로벌 트레이딩 업체들은 '22년 역대급 호실적 달성
The earnings of commodity traders soared in 2022, with gross profits hitting a record of more than $115bn, up by 60% from the previous year.

9. 미국발-유럽행 항공권 가격 고공행진
A strong dollar boosted online searches by Americans for flights to Europe, despite sky-high air fares, inflation and an uncertain economic outlook.

10. 中 헝다 "채권단과 구속력 있는 부채 구조조정 합의"
Evergrande, a troubled Chinese property developer with more than $300bn worth of liabilities, unveiled plans for its delayed restructuring of around $19bn in debt held by overseas investors.

11. 브로드컴-VM웨어, 규제당국 부정적 기류
The Competition and Markets Authority, Britain’s antitrust watchdog, warned that the $69bn takeover of VMware, a cloud software company, by Broadcom, an American chipmaker, could drive up the cost of computer parts and software.

12. 나이키, 나이키, 예상치 웃돈 실적 발표
Nike, a sportswear brand, reported $12.4bn in revenues for the quarter ending February 28th. This was up by 14% from a year ago and exceeded the $11.5bn expected by Wall Street analysts.
